Old Publican Society
Alumni association is as important to any educational institution as anything else. Because it not only provides a good forum for the old students to meet but it also gives them a better chance to get to know their and be in touch with their great alma mater. Whenever one thinks of the joys and fun of one’s childhood, he wants to return to the school days and meet the old fellows. And that is exactly where the alumni association comes in; to help the child in everyone to find the roots which made them the people they are now. This is the basic idea behind the formation of Old Publicans Society.

- To arrange seminars and workshops for ongoing professional learning for Old Publicans
- To maintain a close contact with the Alma Mater

Stepping out on its journey towards success, DPS is such an institution whose past, present and future is very bright. A sage once said that a thousand miles distance is covered due to the first step. This saying with all its truth, witnesses the story of DPS. A bird’s eye view of its past and present strengthens the genuineness of this saying.
About us
Welcoming ever old Publican to take part in the betterment of the society and the school.
The school started working in 1963. At the time of its inception, few rooms of Gaddafi Stadium were acquired on rent. After one year in 1964, the Model Town Society very graciously donated a piece of land measuring 185 kanals to DPS on which the construction of junior school building was started. It was completed in a short time and in 1965; regular classes were started in this building. 1966 was an important year in DPS history. The school was upgraded from junior school to high school level. More over to solve the residential problems of the boarder students, a hostel was built. In view of the increasing number of hostilities, in 1981 they were shifted to the new building with more accommodation capacity and facilities. In 1982, a new branch of boarding house was inaugurated for the junior school students.
